HSBC discloses email addresses of 400 ‘Premier’ customers

Customer complains of attempt to hack email account after bank sends mass mail to Premier customers with 400 addresses visible in ‘To’ field.

Some of HSBC Middle East’s wealthiest customers have complained that their privacy has been compromised after the bank sent a mass mailout to its ‘Premier’ customers – whom are required to maintain a minimum balance or investment of AED350,000 ($95,300) – with customers’ email addresses visible in the ‘To’ field.

there is nothing that HSBC can do or say to fix the damage other than sending its sincere apology to the 400 Premier custmers. this is the huge price of the modern technology. it is a human error that can happen any where in the world. thanks to Allah that they only disclosed their emails not the details of their Bank accounts. what the heck let the 400 befriends each other like the Facebook!
