Lebanon growth to slow to 2 percent in 2011

Lebanon's economic growth is likely to slow to 2 percent this year, Central Bank governor Riad Salameh told a banking conference on Thursday.

The forecast was marginally down from Salameh’s previous predictions of between 2 to 3 percent, and represents a sharp fall from levels of 7 to 8 percent over the previous four years. (Reporting by Erika Solomon; editing by Patrick Graham)
