Mansour signs projects worth SR1bn

Prince signs 38 municipality contracts.

Municipal and Rural Affairs Minister Prince Mansour bin Miteb signed on Saturday 38 municipality contracts worth SR1.004 billion with a number of national companies.

A SR19.99 million contract was awarded to Abdul Aziz Khodari Company for Maintenance and Contracts to establish intersections in villages close to Makkah. Saleh Ahmed Est. was given a SR9.42 million contract to rectify waterways in wadis in Makkah. Saud Abdul Hamid Al-Saedi Company was given a SR22.76 million contract to build a closed canal in Makkah’s Daqam Al-Wabr area. Al-Saedi won another SR17.99 million contract to cover an open sewage line along Omar Qadi Street in the holy city, the Saudi Press Agency said.

Five contracts worth SR79.35 million were awarded to different companies to carry out various projects including one to prevent the danger of floodwaters, construct pavements and set up street lights in Khaibar, Al-Ula, Ashash and Aburaka.

Eighteen new municipal projects will be implemented in the Riyadh province as Prince Mansour signed contracts worth more than SR400 million.

Zaid Al-Hussein Est. received a SR21.47 million contract for the operation and maintenance of gardens and farms in Saley Municipality area.

Turk Trading and Contracting won a SR52 million contract to construct roads to new residential districts in Riyadh, SPA said.

Al-Obaikan Company received a SR22 million contract to collect paper leftovers in containers while Al-Ard Al-Khadra Co. won a SR30.96 contract for the maintenance of gardens and farms in Areeja and Namar. Al-Ard Al-Khadra received similar contracts in the Naseem and Rowda areas of Riyadh.

Two new municipal projects each will be implemented in Jeddah and Al-Ahsa at a total cost of more than 110 million. The projects include the construction of an intersection along King Saud Road with Diwan Road in Al-Ahsa. The SR59 million-contract was given to Abdul Ali Al-Ajami Co.

Seven new municipality projects will be established in the Eastern Province as Prince Mansour signed contracts worth more than SR100 million.
