On its way: Yas Island water park
A new water park on Yas Island has been announced by Aldar properties.

Aldar properties has announced the construction of a new water park on Yas Island, reports Khaleej Times.
The 16.4 hectare park will contain 40 rides and attractions, including “four rides that have never been seen before in a water park,” says the paper.
The project is already advanced, with construction set to begin next week. Completion is scheduled for 2012.
The water park will join the Yas Marina Grand Prix Circuit and Ferrari World as one of the island’s main attractions.
“This facility will provide a unique entertainment opportunity for people of all ages, enabling families and individuals alike to indulge in a thrilling entertainment experience that reflects our rich maritime culture,” said Aldar Properties Chief Commercial Officer Mohammed Al Mubarak.

How many Hotels are there going to be on yas island?
There’s already at least six on the island that I can think of. Not sure how well the rooms are filling up, they seem to be doing a lot of deals with brunch and room at lower rates at the moment, but it is summer…
another projet that will eventually be sold to the abu dhabi govt. for peanuts!
Good, if you want people to visit yas island then this is what it takes, competition for tourist dollars are stiff.
