South Africa received extra cash to ensure on-time World Cup
Fifa general secretary said an additional $99 mn was approved in March.

The organizational budget for South African host to the World Cup has now swelled to more than $517 mn, the BBC reported Monday. The additional funds were reportedly needed to ensure that team training camps are ready on time. The World Cup is scheduled to commence on 11 June.
Fifa’s general secretary, Jerome Valcke insisted that the organization’s income from the tournament – an expected $3.1 billion – will greatly exceed the increase in budget.
