Kuwait halted all its oil exports due to a severe sand storm, a spokesman for state-run Kuwait National Petroleum Co (KNPC) said on Sunday.

“Exports of crude and oil products have stopped,” the spokesman said.

The Gulf Arab state produces around 3 million barrels of oil a day, according to Kuwaiti oil officials. (Reporting by Ahmed Hagagy; editing by Rania El Gamal; editing by Ron Askew)
