Mobile Channels Company (MCC), the leading company specialized in mobile applications development and content distribution, has pulled the curtain back on its Ramadan-themed apps, specially designed for tablets and smartphones and filled with diversified, entertaining content that addresses the rituals of the holy month of Ramadan.
The line-up of these apps which a large number of the nation’s biggest and most renowned telecommunications companies made available to their customers includes “Islamic Pearls” app that seeks to enrich users’ information about the teachings of the Sunnah along with the practices that Prophet Mohammad and his companions used to do during Ramadan.
In addition to “The Arab Cuisine” program, there is “Walking in the Prophet’s Footsteps” application that reviews the most important turning points during the Prophet’s life together with Ghazwat and Futuhat campaigns that resulted in the spread of Islam.
In his comment, MCC Arabia’s General Manager, Salem Al Enzi, said: “As a leading company specialized in digital content development for mobile phones, we have engaged over the past few months in designing a number of apps that satisfy the need of Muslim users to learn religious rules and assist them in staying on the right track in their daily lives.”
“We have developed three interactive and highly-intelligent applications, including “Walking in the Prophet’s Footsteps” app which gives users information aboutMecca’s most significant geographical sites. This app also features maps ofMecca’s mosques that users can zoom into, pinpoints the beginning of each prayer time using daily prayer schedules, and incorporates a compass that indicates Qibla direction.”
Furthermore, there is “The Arab Cuisine” application that provides users with access to a long list of recipes for Arabian dishes, Levantine appetizers, and traditional Arabic and Western sweets prepared by Chef Deema Hajjawi.
Remarkably, “The Arab Cuisine” program occupied the second place on the list of the most downloaded applications in less than 12 hours since its release, surpassing thousands of similar applications, according to application store statistics.
It is worth mentioning that MCC Arabia also launched a series of educational apps targeted at children aged 3 to 6 years, such as the interactive alphabet teaching application. These and other applications were made available to users all over the world and can be downloaded from the APP Store or MCC’s website.
