The driving licenses of 324 motorists have been taken away in Abu Dhabi over the last six months after the motorists reached the limit of their cumulative traffic points, reports UAE official news agency WAM. The motorists include 102 UAE nationals, 77 Arab nationals and 130 Asians among others.
Col. Hamad Adeel Al Shamsi, director of the Department of Traffic and Patrols of Abu Dhabi police, said that when a motorist accumulated 24 traffic points, his license is withdrawn. A motorist charged twice for exceeding the traffic points would not retrieve his license unless re-trained at a driving school.

When is Dubai going to do the same when maximum points are reached? I hear stories of people accumulating in excess of 50 points and nothing is done. Come on Dubai, follow AD’s lead!
that rule should be already applied in all emirates in the UAE not only Abu-Dhabi it is a maximum of 24 points in all the Emirates in the UAE
