Abu Dhabi- based Aabar Investments said that it has signed a deal with five German manufacturers to develop vehicle and engine factories in Algeria. The group plans to assemble up to 10,000 cars and trucks a year, Aabar said in a statement.
The German manufacturers will be led by MAN Ferrostaal, and include Daimler, Deutz, MTU Aero Engines Holding and Rheinmetall. Assembly is expected to start in 2010.
