Abu Dhabi International Airport saw a 17.2 percent increase in passenger traffic and a similar rise in cargo movements last month, compared to traffic figures in February 2009.
Bangkok is now the airport’s busiest destination, pushing London into second place, according to a statement issued by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC). Doha the third busiest city destination, followed by Bahrain and Manila.
ADAC remains “committed to attracting new airlines, and ensuring we can facilitate the growing number of visitors to and from the UAE capital in 2010,” according to Ahmed Al Haddabi, the company’s senior vice president of airport operations.
