The chairman and CEO of the Trump Organization, Donald Trump established himself as one of Manhattan’s most successful real estate developers in the 80s and 90s. The Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago was designed by Smith and was completed in 2009.
The 96-storey building, which stands 415 meters tall, was originally intended to be the world’s tallest tower, but Trump abandoned the more ambitious plan after the September 11 attacks in New York in 2001.
