Air Arabia Q2 profit up 10 percent

Sharjah-based Air Arabia has posted a 10 percent increase in its second-quarter net profit, from AED82 million for the period last year to AED90 million in 2009. The carrier recorded total revenue of AED458 million during the second quarter this year.
The company’s net profit for the first half of this year was AED193 million, an increase of 21 percent compared to the first half of 2008. The airline carried 1,953 million passengers during the period.
