Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera has resumed operations in the West Bank after the Palestinian Authority lifted a ban it imposed last week, reports the BBC.
The news channel was banned following comments made by a guest suggesting the current Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, joined forces with Israel to kill Yasser Arafat.
The authority accused the station of spreading lies and inciting violence.
In spite of lifting the ban, the authority says it will take legal action against the station.
