Bahrain sees first swine flu death

A 30-year-old Filipina housemaid became Bahrain’s first swine flu casualty after she died at the Salmaniya Medical Complex on Sunday night, reports Gulf Daily News. She was brought to the hospital with acute respiratory failure on Wednesday and tested positive for the H1N1 virus a day later, an official told the paper.
He said the woman was kept in isolation ever since officials suspected that she has swine flu.
Authorities are still trying to establish the woman’s identity, says the report.
