Dahi Khalfan Tamim

The Dubai police chief, who has caught the world’s attention for his role in probing the murder Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, is predictably connected to a lot of people who matter.

As the deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, al-Mazeina serves directly under Tamim. Presently, he is actively involved in helping Tamim in the Mahmoud al-Mabhouh murder probe, and announced last week that the killers used the drug succinylcholine to sedate al-Mabhouh before they suffocated him.
Al-Mazeina was appointed to his current position in April 2008 by Sheikh Mohammed. “This confidence bestowed on me is precious, and it is a great responsibility. I vow to be a loyal soldier and serve the country,” he said at the time.
