Germany’s transport minister has signed a memorandum of understanding with the UAE regarding the development of a rail network in the Emirates.
The MoU suggests that German national rail operator Deutsche Bahn is the favorite to win a multi million dollar contract to build the UAE’s proposed rail network.
Deutsche Bahn said in a statement that the MoU lays out a strategic partnership between the rail giant and UAE-based Al Masaood Group for the planning, construction and operation of rail systems.
