Dubai’s Department of Economic Development (DED) is launching a campaign in the city to make consumers aware of their rights, it said on Saturday. The campaign, which starts from February 21, will cover retail outlets such as shopping malls, and will highlight the UAE‘s directives on Consumer Law.
The DED is also launching a website, www.consumerrights.ae, which will provide instructions on the areas where DED or any other concerned government departments can help consumers. The site will also offer shopping advice, and steps to help resolve consumers’ problems with a retailer.
The initiative is being held along with the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment and the Dubai Shopping Malls Group.
