Dubai arrests over 300 street vendors and beggars

The Dubai Municipality and the city police have arrested 309 illegal street vendors and beggars during the month of August. A statement from the municipality said that the law breakers will be handed over to the Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department for deportation.

The statement also said that they seized 2,216 pirate DVDs, 174 pornographic films and around 600 counterfeit products during raids, all of which will be destroyed after legal action is taken against the violators.
