Dubai has established a new department, called the Media Office for Dubai Government, to help improve the image of the emirate, reports Zawya Dow Jones. The unit will combine the existing government public relations departments including the Dubai Press Club, Falcon & Associates and Brand Dubai to portray an “accurate picture” of the city, the report quotes a statement from the ruler’s office as saying.
The new media office will be led by Ahmed al-Sheikh, and “will guarantee the highlighting of facts without any vagueness” and “muster all needed resources and capabilities to portray an accurate picture of all what is happening on the ground,” says the statement.
