Egypt Alcotexa sells 46,406 T cotton in past week
Alcotexa's export commitments for the 2010/11 season are now 64,930 tonnes of cotton worth $224.22 million.

Egypt’s Alexandria Cotton Exporters’ Association (Alcotexa) committed to sell 46,406 tonnes of cotton in the week that ended on Oct. 9, an Alcotexa official told Reuters on Monday.
The sales comprised 12 tonnes of Giza 45, 225 tonnes of Giza 87, 9,509 tonnes of Giza 88, 35,100 tonnes of Giza 86, 710 tonnes of Giza 80 and 850 tonnes of Giza 90, the official said.
Alcotexa’s export commitments for the 2010/11 season, which began in September, are now 64,930 tonnes of cotton worth $224.22 million, the official said.
By this time last year, Alcotexa had sold 4,330 tonnes of cotton worth $9.54 million.
