Dubai-based telecommunications firm Etisalat is not interested in taking a stake in Kuwaiti telecom firm Zain or its African assets, Ahmed Bin Ali, a company spokesman, told Reuters.

However, the company, which recently lost a bid to take over a stake in Morocco’s telecoms firm, Meditel, is still interested in the country’s sector. “We are monitoring closely and we still think that Morocco is a good market,” Ali said. “It depends on what new is coming up and it does not only include Meditel but any other opportunity.”

regarless to where this company belongs… the fact of putting both name together is not possible and no way for etisalat to match ZAIN and to offer its employees and customers worldwide a respectfull benefits and support the way zain is doing …
