Social networking website Facebook has said that it has more than 300 million users, and that it is now making adequate money to sustain itself. The company had earlier expected to become financially viable only in 2010.
“This is important to us because it sets Facebook up to be a strong independent service for the long term,” the website’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg said in a blog post.
Facebook was created five years ago, and is now registering around five million new users a week.

As more and more individuals use facebook and get accustomed to the life behind the social medias walls and get connected in a fast paced world, we will continue to see increases coming from a very famous lagging demographic” the laggers”.
While the Leaders have already taken the initial bold steps and investigated, liked, indulged and made something worthwhile of this amazing social networking website, the followers were eagerly watching what will happen? when will they stop? when will they find it is a waste of time..etc. as we are used to hear from the skeptics.
Suddenly people jumped on just to see what the fuss was about, adn continued playing around their other networking sites or messaging toys.
Once the number reached 100 million sometime back, and once celebrities started focusing on their facebook crowd, and once royals and rulers joined the network to get closer to their people, and once everybody was talking about it and checking their mobiles while commuting and while eating and while sitting in coffee shops, The famous Laggers said, its time!
That is why i assume the number will grow at a faster rate, the people that missed the first and 20th train, will not want to miss the final one and be left in the dark.
In my opinion if you are not on facebook yet, its like walking around today without a mobile phone, you will manage to live, but with extreme difficulties and embarrassment.
