The CEO of Dubai Bank, Shaksy was awarded the Banker of the Year award for 2008 by The Islamic Business and Finance Awards in January this year.
As chairman of Dubai Bank Ali congratulated him saying, “2008 was a successful year for Dubai Bank, in spite of the extremely challenging and unpredictable global environment.”
“I congratulate Salaam on his contribution towards making Dubai Bank and Dubai Banking Group a success. I believe this award recognizes not only Salaam’s achievements but also serves as recognition for Dubai Bank.”
Before joining Dubai Bank, Shaksy served as the CEO of the Dubai Banking Group and the deputy CEO of Bank Dhofar.
Today, he is also the chairman of Oman National Investment Corporation Holding, vice chairman of Dubai First and Shell Oman Marketing and a board member of Bank Islam, Malaysia.
