Roger Federer has withdrawn from the Dubai Barclays Championships after contracting a lung infection, officials announced on Sunday, reports AFP. “He has got a lung infection,” said Stephen Duckett, an ATP circuit official. “He saw a doctor and he was advised not to play for a fortnight.”
This is the second time that the world number one will not be taking part in the $2 million Dubai Open. His place in the event this year, which starts on Monday, will be taken by Spanish player Tommy Robredo.
