Firefighters fought a blaze that ripped through a warehouse in Al Aweer on Sunday, destroying over 12 stores and numerous vehicles parked nearby, reports Arabian Business citing a senior official from the Dubai Civil Defense.
Colonel Ahmad Al Sayegh, assistant manager general manger for fire and rescue at the Dubai Civil Defence told the magazine the fire began at 11.30am on Sunday.
“We cannot say how the fire started. But everything is ok now. They [firefighters] are cooling [the area],” he said.
“There have been no injuries,” he added.
