Turkey’s Genel Enerji General Manager Orhan Duran said on Thursday plans to set up a refinery in northern Iraq, shelved due to the global crisis, were back on the agenda and planned total investment was $500 million.
He also told Reuters in an interview the company was continuing work on building a link from its fields in Iraq to the Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline between Iraq and Turkey.
The company is also considering holding a public offering abroad, he added.
