Iran reiterates no need for gasoline imports

Iranian Oil Minister Massoud Mirkazemi said international sanctions were having no impact on the country and reiterated on Thursday the country had become self-sufficient in gasoline.

“Sanctions have no impact at all,” the minister told reporters ahead of an OPEC meeting on Thursday.

The talks are widely expected to leave existing supply policy unchanged.

“If you consider the present price and the recession, it seems it’s a good price,” the minister said of the oil market, currently trading around $84 a barrel.
