Majority of region’s new hotels in the UAE

The UAE is currently building 57,126 hotel rooms, almost half of the total number of rooms being constructed in the Middle East and Africa (MENA) region, according to a report from travel research company, STR Global. Overall, 120,589 new hotel rooms are being built across 442 hotels in the region, says Bloomberg, citing the report.
More than 20 percent of the rooms are being constructed by three hotel chains, said the report.
