UAE-based Mashreq bank has launched what it claims is the country’s first debt counseling service for its customers. The facility, called Mashreq Assist, will help customers restructure their outstanding cards, loans and facilities.
“Over the past few months we have received an increasing number of customers who have come to us for financial counseling and support,” said Douglas K. Beckett, head of Retail Banking Group, Mashreq in a press release.
“Their concerns have risen from a multitude of issues including; job loss, reduction in salary, personal issues, investments that have been affected by the financial situation or simple over leveraging. We strongly recommend our customers to alert us at an early stage, to be able to arrive at a manageable solution.”

As far as we have known the only debt counseling that Mashreq Bank have ever done is putting their customers in jail …
I storngly support Bernadine and i think it is just another trick of them to grap all their customers who are not paying on time to put them in jail and cause them a lot of troubles… Mashreq Bank doesn’t desrve the trsut of any company, person and specially investors… and there consultancey will be ” go your self to the police or we will take you there…!!!”
Bernadine and Beyond …. seems frighteningly similar to Bey & Beyond….Avoid the latter and no need for DEBTS !!!
Just some loose-change lighter thoughts….no offence, seriously!!
Oops…….sorry above post has typo….. Its shud be Bed & Beyond … no prizes for second-guessing this………
