The inauguration of Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building, on January 4 will feature a massive display of sound, light, water and fireworks, according to its developer Emaar Properties. The inauguration show will start with a short film and will be followed by three themed light and sound shows - ‘From the Desert Flower to Burj Dubai,’ ‘Heart Beat,’ and ‘From Dubai and the UAE to the World.’ The display has been put together by experts from France, Britain and the US.
The show will end with firework effects on and from the tower, which according to Emaar, will be the highest in the world.
Several TV screens featuring the live event will be placed across the Downtown Burj Dubai area for public viewing.

Burj dubai is a monumental peice and its another day that will go down in history as the most astonishing things in this millenium
Wish Burj Dubai could find a way to publicly acknowledge, honour and reward the thousands of hapless labourers whose blood, sweat and toil have gone into the construction of this monument, yet most have to contend with unemployment now that the project is over. That would be a truly grand gesture that would win world acclaim more than just the opening ceremony pyrotechniques will.
i wish that much money which they are using, can’t they use it on those people who are living in a very bad condition, who are without payments or salaries or jobs. one side one want to be world recorded and on other side no check on their own big bosses who hold amounts and the circulation is stopped. top of it cost of living is increased…
“Burj dubai is a monumental peice and its another day that will go down in history as the most astonishing things in this millenium”
The second half of that sentence is quite possibly the funniest thing I’ve ever read.
