The Ministry of labor (MoL) announced it has completed a proposal legalizing part time work in the private sector, reported Gulf News, citing Arabic-language daily Al Bayan.
Humaid Bin Deemas, Acting Director General at the MoL, told the daily the ministry had re-examined its policy on temporary work permits.
The ministry is consulting other government departments before it submits the report to the federal authorities, he said.
The current law allows the MoL to issue 90-day work permits for exceptional cases only.
