A housekeeping manager at the Jumeriah Essex House in New York was charged with killing a former Dubai-based businesswoman, agencies reported on Monday. Andree Bejjani’s body was found strangled with a bread knife lodged in her neck on Saturday.
The manager, Derrick Praileu, is being held without bail on charges of second-degree murder.
The hotel offered condolences to the victim’s family. Bejjani had been staying at the condo since August.
