A 54-year-old man in Oman became the country’s 10th swine flu victim, according to local reports. The Omani national was reportedly admitted to hospital with diabetes and chronic liver diseases. The country currently has around 763 H1N1 virus cases, and officials have postponed the reopening of public schools from August 29 to September 26 to curb the flu.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man was the second person to die of swine flu in Bahrain, authorities announced on Wednesday. A Filipino woman who failed to respond to treatment, died earlier this week in the country.
