Awesome!, Pakistani needs the right to vote, an excellent services from the embassies & consultate, a priority services at the Pakistani Airports and duty free imports of worth 50,000 AED per year.
The eye shut government in Pakistan will not anything as usual.
Response to Mohd. Yousaf (above) : Right to Vote? I believe the overseaes Pakis do have the right to send postal ballot…I might be wrong. Good going for the domestic economy by middle east …..They do work under harsh conditions, longer hours than some other guys and though questionable save max. by all possible means.
Ofcourse Pakistan gets the most amount of money from the UAE…How else do you think Dawood Ibrahim – one of the most wanted by Interpol and who has numerous businesses in Dubai and the UAE, sends his earnings to PAkistan where he is the Chief Guest of the Pakistan Government and gets state protection while hundreds of innocent pakistani nationals dont get any security from the terrorist orgs within Pakistan such as Lashkar-E-Toiba…..So yea, its no surprise to see the increase in remottances….i hope you publish my comment or are u afraid you will be bit by the UAE media watchdog?
@THE B: Buddy, I can feel the smell of jealousy. Tell the SBI to issue the statistics for you as well, may be you are submitting more money than that of Pakistanis.
I can speak a lot too but I think your allegations doesn’t deserve to be answered.
Regards,
@ALL of above : SBI ? Sate bank of india….well, the correct wud be RBI….Reserve bank of india. And yes, since no of indians are more than Pakis (and prob at higher avg per person income levels) they wud likely be remitting much more….
Allegations are just that….though I and lot of others (not maybe Mohd. above) agree there is something to be said for allowing such “perceptions” to be there for last 20 yrs …. And yes, the quoted figure is the total Money transferred…Nett of Commercial transactions…and will include primarily expat’s hard-earned monies….some part will also be “MISC” and that will always be there for India too. The same is true for UAE to some east european and african nations….
Btw, I am Indian and nick name’s for kipp.
Keep smiling !!
