Flydubai cancelled its 10.30am flight to Beirut on Saturday for “operational reasons,” leaving passengers stranded at the airport for hours, reports The National. Many passengers were asked to wait for the next flight, which was also delayed by five hours.

“All passengers on the flight have been offered a new reservation,” a flydubai official said.

“Some of them have been transferred to the evening flight, and other passengers have been given another date to travel on.”

The evening flight was scheduled to leave at 7.40pm on Saturday night, but was delayed until 12.40am Sunday morning.

“This flight was also delayed for operational reasons,” the official said.

They canceled our flight on 18 July at 10.30 am due to technical problems. And they canceled again the flight they re-booked us in at 12.30 am (on 19 July). IMAGINE 2 flights canceled in the same day, what a tragedy. This is the WORST AIRLINE YOU CAN EVER FLY WITH. Bad attitude from Fly Dubai ground handliing personnel, aggressive, impolite and unhelpful. We stayed from 8 pm till 10 am in the Airport without sleep!!!! They did not even bother to offer us a glass of WATER!!!! This is the most frustrating flight of my entire life!!!

i agree with RG…although i was not on any of the above flights, i’ve had a bad experience with FlyDubai a couple of weeks ago on my way to Beirut.

I arrived @ the airport at 8:30am for my 10:30 flight just to be advised that my flight has been delayed 2 hrs…when asking why weren’t we informed of the delay a while before arriving to the airport, no one could give me a straight answer!

FlyDubai cannot be contacted except by mail…no telephone number is listed anywhere on the website.

    Never again !!!

What the hell do U expect??, a budget airline in the Middle East!!! It’s bad enough using the “5 Star” airlines in the region, give flydubai a break & some time to get it’s act together on account of regular people like you & me…. try beating getting stranded in Khartoum Airport for over 12 hours without any explanation from Qatar Airways… if you have been to Khartoum airport you will know what i am talking about!!!

Dear Sam, I feel with you with what you have been through in Khartoum, it is surely very frustrating.

However, in my case, I am surely not expecting a 5 star service from an economic airline which I voluntarily booked with full intention knowing that it is a new and service-limited airline. But when such a carrier cannot cancls the same flight twice per day, and deals with its passengers in an agrressive and unhelpful way, especially when I had with me 3 small kids, whereby even the hostess refused to help me in carrying one of them (as they were sleeping at 4am) when they asked us to go down from the plane as it it will not take off. In addition, the assigned Terminal was Terminal 2, small & overcrowded and with very limited facilities. Then I am sure you will agree with me that what I faced was a serious tragedy. There is a minimum of standards that each of us expects and that it worth what you paid or a bit lower, but not much much lower!!!
