A member of the Saudi royal family has been arrested in London after a man was found dead in an upmarket London hotel.
A 32-year-old man, believed to be an aide to the suspect, was discovered late on Monday afternoon at the five-star Landmark Hotel. He had been strangled and had suffered head injuries, according to local press reports.
His 33-year-old boss, a fellow Saudi national, was arrested later that day. The suspect is believed to be linked to the Saudi royal family, but not a prominent member of it. The suspect is not entitled to claim diplomatic immunity from prosecution, according to press reports.
Neither man has been named by the UK authorities.
