The Bahrain Human Rights Society (BHRS) will train 200 volunteers to help monitor the parliamentary and municipal elections in 2010, reports Gulf News. A special committee formed of the BHRS and the Bahrain Transparency Society will be in charge of supervising the elections, the BHRS president Abdullah Al Durazi told the paper.
“The committee will publish an initial report before the elections and a final report following the announcement of the results. The final report will include all details gathered by the monitoring team on the elections process as well as on any potential violations or abuses,” said Al Durazi.
