The number of vehicles abandoned in Dubai increased by 20 percent in the first seven months of the year, the Dubai Municipality has said. Between January and July this year, 1,476 vehicles were recovered in the city, as compared to 1,227 during the same period in 2008.
“Yes there has been an increase in the number of abandoned vehicles,” Hassan Makki, Dubai Municipality’s director of waste management, told Maktoob Business. “But we are not in a position to comment (or) assess the reasons why they left the car in the recent months.”

Btw, that does sound like a “mentally-Blind” statement – Typical ARAB mentality ….(we are not in a position to comment (or) assess the reasons why they left the car in the recent months.”)
to Amin , what comment you were expecting , he is not in a position to comment for real , he is not part of law inforcement , i see his ststment is correct and related to his line of work , however the mentaly blind ststment is “typical arab mentality ” i wish you line up and respect the community you live in
you know Amin – the statement you quoted is quite stupid and ignorant but so is ur ‘typical arab’ statement -
Some people just want to be heard, even if it means muttering something totally irrelevant. When someone says he is not in a position to comment, it does not mean or relate to where he is from Mr.Amin.
And I wish you could elaborate on such an overused and abandoned way of speech. I just wonder which part of the world you come from, and are you one of the people who made money in the UAE or ARAB world and fled when things got worse, did you find another place to take its riches and then complain like a baby about the whole community?
I agree with Amin’s view but not the way how he expressed it. Everyone knows why people are abandoning their vehicles in UAE except Mr.Hassan Makki!
TO AMIN – PLS REFRAIN FROM EXPRESSING UR DEEPEST FEELINGS IN PUBLIC…. WE ALL KNOW WHAT NON-ARABS FEEL ABT ARABS IN GENERAL (WITH NOTABLE EXCEPTIONS ) AND SO LETS LEAVE THE WORLD AS IT IS….
