Hotel chain Rotana announced that it expects 100 percent occupancy rates in its Dubai hotels during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) this year, which begins on January 28 and runs for a month. The group operates 11 hotels with more than 3300 rooms in the city.
“We can feel the recovery and indeed we are very optimistic for 2010 and I am glad to announce that our properties in Dubai will be running 100 percent occupancy rates during the DSF 2010 which we officially supported this year with 11 hotels in Dubai,” Naeem Darkazally, the area director of Sales and Marketing for Rotana Dubai & Northern Emirates, said in a release.
Interestingly, a quick call from Kipp found that the group’s Rose Rayhaan hotel, the world’s tallest hotel, still has 10 rooms available from February 2- February 4. The 100 percent occupancy rate is only a forecast for the future, the company said in response.
