RTA reveals Dubai Metro fares

The cost of using the soon-to-be-completed Dubai Metro will range between 90 fils and AED5.80, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) officials said at a press conference on Monday.

The cost of a full day ticket will be AED14, they said, and parking facilities at metro stations will be free.

The RTA hopes over 30 percent of the emirate’s population will use the metro.

The metro’s red line, running from Jebel Ali to Rashidiya, will be completed in September 2009.
