In May this year, Al Qamzi teamed up with Al Suwaidi, the director general of the Ministry of Social Affairs, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve foreign investment in the emirate. DED is planning to improve Dubai’s economic development by encouraging investment in social affairs, it said at the time.
The two parties will review the licensing of social activities, and exchange views, information, data, studies and projects related to such activities.
“Partnership and coordination with federal and government departments is one of the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the years 2008-2010. The MoU completes the ministry’s plan for 2008 and Q1 for 2009, which witnessed the signing of a number of successful partnerships,” said Al Suwaidi.
