As head of a government body, Al Qamzi reports to Dubai’s Ruler and the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Mohammed, who became the ruler of Dubai in 2006, is also a poet and an equestrian. One of the world’s richest royals, he patronizes several initiatives and awards in the city including the Dubai Quality Awards, which is organized by the DED. Earlier this year, he presented the award to 19 companies from various economic sectors in Dubai.
