Saudi Arabia has posted an eight percent growth for agricultural products and technologies, and remains the Middle East’s largest market in the sector, according to organizers of an annual agricultural exhibition. The kingdom imported $6.8 billion worth of agricultural products in 2008, an increase of 42 percent over the previous year.
This year, agricultural projects are expected to account for 23 percent of the country’s private sector investments.
