Petrochemical exports from Saudi fell 27.8 percent in July this year as compared to the same period last year because of decreasing demand, reports Reuters. The exports amounted to SR2.49 billion ($664 million) in July, according to data published on the Central Department of Statistics website.
According to the data, the value of petrochemical exports fell from SR 9.02 billion ($2.4 billion) in the second quarter of 2008, to SR 7.02 billion ($1.8 billion) during the same period in 2009.
