Saudi ranked worst in climate action

Saudi did the least this year to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Climate Protection Index, which ranks 57 countries responsible for 90 percent of carbon dioxide emissions. However, the annual index, produced by the Climate Action Network Europe and Germanwatch, said that “none of the countries analyzed is contributing sufficiently on a practical level to the goal to avoid dangerous climate change.”

The top three spots were left empty, but the index found Brazil, Sweden and Britain to be the best performers.
