Saudi’s Ministry of Labor reported a 25 percent reduction in work visas issued during the first nine months of 2009, as compared to the same period in 2008, according to a ministry report, says Arab News. Around 3 million work permits were issued during the period in 2009, said the report.
The ministry is also planning to finalize statutes for unified recruitment companies, to streamline and simplify the employment of foreign nationals, the report said.
