Saudi Arabia was the world’s biggest buyer of US military arms between 2005 and 2008, having spent over $11.2 billion during the three year period, reports Reuters, citing a research by the US Congress published on December 2.
The second biggest buyer between 2005 and 2008 was the UAE, which spent $10 billion. According to the study, the UAE spent $8.9 billion during 2008 alone, making the Gulf state the biggest buyer of US arms during that year.
