All Dubai-based companies will be exempted from paying fines for not renewing their licenses on time, according to a decree issued by Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, reports official news agency WAM. The exemption also applies to firms operating in special development districts and free zones, says the report.

But companies will have to rectify their status before June this year to benefit from the decree, which will take effect from the date of issue, the report says.
