A Thai official said on Monday the nation has given the UAE proof of Thaksin Shinawatra’s residence in Dubai, AFP reports.
Thaksin, Thailand’s former prime minister, is avoiding jail time for corruption in Thailand.
“We submitted information showing that the former premier has been located there,” Panich Vikitsreth, vice minister at the Thai foreign ministry, told AFP.
“The ambassador responded very warmly to our information. He affirmed the UAE’s principle that it will not allow anyone to use it as a political base to attack other countries.”
