The meteorological department of the Dubai Air Navigation Services issued a weather warning on Monday, asking drivers to be cautious while using the roads during the next 48 hours.
“From this evening [Monday evening] onwards the weather will become unsettled with thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain, strong gusty winds and the possibility of hail. Winds may gust to 40 knots with poor visibility and flooding, making driving conditions difficult. This unsettled weather will persist throughout Tuesday,” a statement from the department said.
The warning comes after the Dubai Police reported that 170 traffic accidents were recorded on Saturday night, when the city was hit by severe rainfall.
